Staff Members

Cynthia Peterson-Manager

Cynthia had her first airplane ride at two weeks of age, thanks to her pilot father, and has enjoyed airplanes ever since. She spent a good deal of time at KMPR as a child and has a sincere interest in seeing that the airport continues to provide an excellent experience for all who stop here. She is not a pilot, though ride offers are quickly accepted! As she says-“Someone needs to stay on the ground and watch the store”. Cynthia is very appreciative of the dedication and enthusiasm of the staff at KMPR and the MAA board, and would not willingly give up any of them.

Rhonda Treder-Bookkeeper

Rhonda’s love of flying began as a child, influenced by her father’s pursuit of his license. She surprised her dad by earning her private license while in college. After years of not flying, Rhonda renewed her status along with instrument currency, recently earned her commercial, and intends to obtain a CFI. Along with belonging to the 81 Escadrille- and CCCK Flying Clubs here at KMPR, she is a paramedic. Rhonda is on her second round of being a wonderful bookkeeper for the airport. She “babysits” her dad’s 1972 Cherokee 140 during the winter-tough duty, indeed!

Shelley Miller-Secretary/Receptionist/Line Service

Shelley, a becoming aviation enthusiast, and the newest person to our staff. She is always up for hopping into an airplane with any of the local pilots! With background in accounting, Shelley is well-suited to caring for our visitors’ needs. She is married and has two kids. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her kids.

Jim Fetters-Line Service/Grounds and Lighting Maintenance

Jim, a self-described “recovering lawyer”, has been flying since 1970, often in the 81 Escadrille Flying Club’s 1969 Cessna 172. His interest in aviation stems from growing up near all the activity in Wichita and working college summers at Lambert Field in St.Louis. He has been with us since 2010, having worked previously at KHUT and Wells Aircraft in Hutchinson. Jim also plays a mean jazz guitar with the Jim Fetters Jazz Group-if you haven’t heard them, you should!

Ray Peterson-Building and Equipment Maintenance/Line Service

Ray, another of our younger pilots, is co-owner of a sharp 1947 Cessna 140. He has flown it to Texas, Wisconsin, Denver, and Hilton Head Island. Next on his bucket list is a trip to California! With his mechanical background, Ray is handy to have around whether a hangar door needs adjustment, or the courtesy car is in need of care. He works in the gas industry, repairing compressor motors which help move natural gas to homes and businesses.

Orville Lindberg-Entertainment Manager and Rodent Patrol Officer

Orville has not shown much interest in taking to the air yet, but is well-suited for his work in entertaining visitors and keeping furry pests out of the terminal and nearby hangars. He enjoys meeting our visitors-providing playful or drowsy companionship, depending upon the time of day.
